January 12, 2010

We are very pleased to announce that The Waldun Group’s manufacturing operations have been independently certified to international recognized standards. The Waldun Group has met all the requirements for Chain of Custody (CoC) certification for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and for the Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

Under the CoC, The Waldun Group commits to process fibre only from sources that are not controversial. The Waldun Group will make its best efforts to avoid trading and sourcing fibre originating from:
1. illegally harvested wood
2. wood harvested in violation of traditional or civil rights
3. wood harvested in forests where high conservation values are threatened by management activities
4. wood harvested in forests being converted to plantations or non-forest use
5. wood from forests in which genetically modified trees are planted

Irrespective of the whether the supplier is certified or not, The Waldun Group will not process fibre listed in Annex 1, 2 or 3 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

Chain of Custody certificates are available upon request.
